Siu Rin , Suku Kia , Elaine and me went to the Curve for Lunch after Church as Siu Rin and Elaine wanted to do stuffs to their hair at Jean Yip Saloon and Suku wanna go get her altered dress.
We ended up in Bubba Gump Restaurant ...
This restaurant got a funny story behind it .....it was told to us by the waitress that the restaurant was inspired by the movie Forest Gump .....
i dun realli see how it is related ...i mean ...as shrimp restaurant with Forest Gump ? ...i dun remember seeing anyone eating Shrimp in Forest Gump movie ....

Dont know why shrimp is related to forrest gump? At the end of the movie, forrest made fortune out of a shrimp co. founded by himself. That helps? ;)
ReplyDeletebubba was forrest's friend during his soldier life. forrest opened the restaurant to fulfil his promise to bubba b4 he died in the war. it was bubba's ambition to make catching shrimp his living. remember forrest handing over the money he earned to a black family? it's bubba's family.
